Road Trip Report: Exploring the Trails in Billings

We recently set up camp at the Billings KOA to check out what the trail systems are like on the east side of the state.

We started with a cruise along the **Heritage Trail system**—a great network of paved paths that connect the city and make it easy to spin the legs right out of camp.

From there, we headed up to the iconic **Billings Rimrocks** to sample the dirt. Riding single track along these massive sandstone cliffs offers some unique terrain and great views of the valley. Between the technical sections at Zimmerman Park and the smoother lines at Swords Park, there is some quality riding up there.

It’s always great to see other Montana communities investing heavily in their trail networks.
